• Wednesdays at Prosper Paediatrics at North Adelaide (occasionally at Toorak Gardens)

• hour-long individualised appointments for you and your newborn for follow-up care in the early weeks after discharge.

Christine and her team of Lactation Consultants and midwives provide empathetic, practical help and support for your care of your newborn in the critical early weeks.

They are sensitive, gentle and very supportive of women to grow as new mothers.

Mama First offers new parents

• skilled lactation support

• assistance and support for all feeding concerns

• assistance and support for settling your new baby

• health and development checks.

• strong working relationships and liaising with your care team, including your GP and your baby’s paediatrician

• practical, evidence-based approaches,

• encouragement, empathy, and a passion to support you as you grow in confidence as a new parent.

• facilitating your connections with other mums in a supportive and social group.

Mama First also conducts

• Home visits for further help with breastfeeding, general feeding, settling, care of babies, baby massage, weaning etc.;

• Mums & Bubs Groups- a great way to gain confidence and share the joys and challenges of caring for new babies with other mums in a supportive and social group.
